Workshop Overview
WHEN: September 21, 2024
WHERE: Roswell Community Little Theatre (1717 S. Union)
COST: $75/person
Our workshop is designed to hone your storytelling skills, whether you’re a seasoned wordsmith or a budding storyteller. Led by experienced mentors and seasoned storytellers, the workshop will cover various aspects of storytelling, including:
Crafting Compelling Openings
Learn how to breathe life into your openings, infusing them with vivid imagery, compelling details, and evocative language. Capture the audience’s attention, resonate with their emotions, and leave a lasting impression.
Using Voice & Style Effectively
Uncover your unique narrative style and voice, allowing your stories to resonate authentically with your audience.
Building Engaging Performances
Explore the powerful technics of voice modulation, physical gestures and movement, eye contact, emotional delivery, pacing, and more.
Practicing Narrative Progression
Study the development and unfolding of the story over time: introduction, setup, exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution.

COST: $25 Registration (nonrefundable)
Our contest welcomes storytellers of all ages who are passionate about sharing their tales in a family-friendly environment. Winners will be determined and then announced that evening at a presentation of winners. Those chosen will tell their story to an audience. Cash prizes will also be awarded at the presentation (listed below). A signed waiver is also required from each participant. Sponsored by B.A. Coots (Author/Speaker) & Squirrel Marketing & Graphix.
1st Place: $200
2nd Place: $50 gift certificate to Farm House on 2nd
3rd Place: $30 gift card to Bath and Body Works
